Meet the Sister
Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD because I wanted to find a group of girls that I could rely on no matter what. I definitely have gotten that and so much more from my time in KGD!
How has KGD changed your life?
Going to college far from home can be difficult at times. KGD has given me a home away from home and it’s comforting to know that I always have a friend to turn to whenever I need it. The ladies of KGD are inspiring and encouraging and we push each other to be our best, which is pretty amazing.
Favorite part of KGD?
Everyone is unique and brings something different to the table. We truly have a unique sisterhood!
Extracurriculars and interests?
I love going on hikes, especially when I’m back at home. I love eating and trying different foods, going to the beach, and being under the sun. I’ve been a Hula dancer for almost 14 years, and it’s a really big part of my life. I’m currently the Co-Dance chair for Na Keiki ‘O Hawai’i, the Hula club on campus! I currently work at the Orientation Business Office as the Student Assistant and recently got an internship as a research associate through EMRAP at the UCDMC.
Fun fact about yourself:
I went to Guatemala this past summer to volunteer in pop-up medical clinics for underserved communities!
