Meet the Sister
Alexandria Scott
Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD because I wanted to find a group of people that have the same passion and drive to reach their goals as I do. I also wanted to find a group that was reliable and trustworthy in that we could all rely on each other to help each other out in times of need.
How has KGD changed your life?
KGD has completely changed who I am, in all good ways. Before I joined KGD, I was a shy, awkward kid who had no clue how to make one friend, let along about 60 of them. But since forcing myself out of my comfort zone and joining KGD, I couldn’t be happier with the person I’ve become. KGD also helped me immensely in building the people skills and professionalism that I will definitely need in any career I may end up in.
Favorite part of KGD?
My favorite part of KGD is that all of the girls are so down-to-earth and real, and just as strong minded and motivated to reach their goals as myself. I’m not usually one to rely on others to do their part when working in groups, but with these girls I feel like I don’t even have to worry, because I know that they will do their best at whatever they are challenged with.
Extracurriculars and interests?
Currently I’m working at the UC Davis Center for Equine Health, and I spend my days making sure all the horses stay happy and healthy. I also work at the Laboratory for Comparative Neurobiology of Monogamy, where I study the parental and social behaviors of prairie voles. When I’m not working or studying (which isn’t very often), I enjoy reading, playing video games, going to the gym, and any outdoor activity.
Fun Fact:
I was once a judge at a Monster Truck Rally.
