Meet the sister:
Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD so that I could build my connections and find a group of girls with the same interests as me who could support me and help me reach my academic goals. I joined at the end of my freshman year because I wanted to further my involvement in the pre-health field.
How has KGD changed your life?
KGD has not only found me an amazing group of friends, but has also furthered my professionalism and helped me become more focused on my future plans and my academics. I now have an amazing support system that I can rely on whenever I need help. Additionally, KGD pushed me to jump out of my comfort zone and explore opportunities in the pre-health field that I never would have otherwise.
Favorite part of KGD?
My favorite part of KGD is the friendships that I have made and the support that it has given me. I can always go to my fellow sisters for anything, whether it be just hanging out, having a study buddy, or talking about my problems.
Extracurriculars and interests?
I am currently a part of the UC Davis Badminton club. In my free time, I like to play the piano. Additionally, I currently do research in Neurodevelopment at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Sacramento.
Fun fact about yourself:
This past summer, I travelled to Costa Rica to volunteer in a clinic where we treated the underserved populations in the Guanacaste region!
