Meet the Sister
Catherine Brandon
Why did you join KGD?
When I arrived in Davis, the large student body was overwhelming. I was not sure how to navigate and make connections with such a variety of people. As a pre-med, I wanted to find people who were also aspiring to work in the health field and who are going through the processes that I am.
How has KGD changed your life?
I have become a much more outgoing and confident person since joining KGD. I have had the opportunity to practice my professionalism as a member of KGD and have also been introduced to many clinics and internships, one of which I am now interning with.
Favorite part of KGD?
My favorite part about KGD is by far the people that I have gotten to meet and create relationships with. While each of us in KGD have the same ultimate goals of working in the health field in one way or another, every member is unique and has something to offer to her sisters.
Extracurriculars and interests?
Growing up in San Diego led to many of my interests involving the outdoors. I love surfing, hiking, and walking my dogs. I love to watch baseball and am (unfortunately) a Padres fan. I have a passion for film photography and I love painting, but I cannot draw to save my life.
Fun fact about yourself:
I know a lot of random facts-- half of the time I do not realize that what I know is completely random and obscure, but apparently they are sometimes. I can also touch my tongue to the tip of my nose very well (it seems to impress people when I do it).
