Meet the Sister
Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD because I was looking for a support system to help guide me through the journey of being pre-health. I really didn’t feel like I found my place in Davis, but coming out to the rush events made me feel like I was truly at home.
How has KGD changed your life?
KGD has helped me learn a lot about myself and what I am capable of. Being an introvert, it has definitely helped me come out of my shell and pushed me to achieve goals that I would have never imagined. On top of that, I have made so many lifelong bonds with the girls I call my sisters!
Favorite part of KGD?
My favorite part of KGD is by far the sisterhood and how diverse we are. Though we all share an interest in pre-health, each of us have our own story and life goal. Even with our differing backgrounds, I know I can always count on my sisters to have my back, whether it be for help in a class or just to cheer me up when I’m down!
Extracurriculars and interests?
I am obsessed with makeup! My interest in it started in the 5th grade once I discovered makeup tutorials on YouTube. What once was a little collection of MAC lip products has now grown into a whole set up that I love to admire from time to time (ha ha ha). I'm currently an Undergraduate Volunteer for Shifa Community Clinic and a Research Assistant at the Memory and Development Lab.
Fun fact about yourself:
Friday is my favorite day of the week because that’s when new songs get released. Music is everything to me! I'm very into R&B and Hip-Hop. My favorite artists at the moment are BROCKHAMPTON, Daniel Caesar, Brent Faiyaz, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, and The Weeknd. Laughing, animals, and food are also key components to my life.
