Meet the Sister
Jade Vi
Why did you join KGD?
What enticed me to join Kappa Gamma Delta was not only the pre-health aspect, but also the strong bond and support within the sorority. Being a STEM major can be very strenuous both mentally and emotionally, so having a strong support system helps with getting through the tough classes and the obstacles that come with college, whether they be academic, emotional, or social.
How has KGD changed your life?
Naturally, I am introverted and it takes me a while to open up to new people, but being in KGD has helped me become more confident in opening up and talking to new people. Through KGD, I have also learned so much about professionalism and various health careers and paths that I could potentially follow.
Favorite part of KGD?
The unique sisterhood of Kappa Gamma Delta is my favorite part. Every sister in KGD is unique and genuine. There are so many diverse personalities within KGD and everyone has their own stories and experiences that it is easy to fit in and feel at home. I can rely on my sisters to be there for me at any place and anytime for my study buddies, support, a study break, etc.
Extracurricular and interests?
I love traveling and seeing scenic landscapes and modern/contemporary art. My favorite part about traveling is being immersed in different cultures and lifestyles around the world. When I have free time, I enjoy listening to music, playing the piano, drawing, trying new foods, catching up on sleep and TV shows and exercising.
Fun fact about yourself:
I did ballet for 7 years and karate for 6 years, but there was a point where I was doing both karate and ballet at the same time. During this time, I felt like the epitome of yin and yang.
