Meet the sister:

Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD because I wanted to meet more people that had the same goals as me. I had friends before who had completely different ambitions than me, so it was hard trying to connect with them. When I went to Info Night, I was excited to see a lot of girls that were studying to be in pre-med, pre-vet, and other pre-health fields. I thought that if I were surrounded by people who were passionate in the same ideas and topics as me, I would be more motivated and driven myself. I am glad to see that I was right.
How has KGD changed your life?
Even though I have been in the program for a short amount of time, KGD has offered me an overwhelming amount of support both academically and emotionally. You really do end up meeting people that end up becoming very close to you. The campus does not feel as big as it did when I first came to college because there are so many girls that I know through the sorority.
Favorite part of KGD?
I would say my favorite part of KGD was getting to know so many girls from a variety of backgrounds. I love meeting new people, so the sorority was a great way to connect with people that you would not usually meet. It is so refreshing to see so many girls come from such diverse places all come together to create such an inclusive program on campus.
Extracurriculars and interests?
When I was in high school, I was heavily involved with marching band. I used to play the saxophone and was even Drum Major for two years. I was also a part of our Color Guard and our Jazz Band. In college, I did IM volleyball for two quarters even though I was a complete beginner in the sport. However, the team that I formed in my spring quarter ended up making pre-finals! I also enjoy playing the ukulele, watching Netflix, and listening to music.
Fun fact about yourself:
The first time I went driving, I hit a palm tree.
