Meet the Sister
Why did you join KGD?
From the beginning of my time here at Davis, I was searching for a support system to help guide me through the journey that is the pre-med college life. Not only were the academic resources and community service aspects of KGD appealing, but the camaraderie and solidarity that were presented among a group of genuine and driven women have convinced me that this sisterhood was something that I wanted to be a part of.
How has KGD changed your life?
In such a short amount of time, I have seen myself grow a lot as a person. I learned a lot, and I gained a lot. Now, I have a group of wonderful girls always there to encourage me and an organization that every day continues to make me a more well-rounded individual.
What is your favorite part of KGD?
I love how KGD gave me the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people, who just so happen to be on the same rocky boat as I am.
What are your interests?
I love to sketch, bake, read (especially stories from the New York Times's Modern Love column), run, play video games, eat out anywhere in SF, drink coffee at hipster cafes or boba shops, and make flower arrangements, rock climb and box. I am always down to try new things, and one day I hope to travel the world. Also, I'm your go-to girl for trivial information or cheesy puns (they're Gouda haha).
What type of extracurriculars are you involved with?
I am currently a barista at Peet's Coffee at the Silo, an undergraduate research assistant for the Peer Relations Lab, and an intern at the Willow Clinic. I would also like to get more involved with other random things on campus, like IM volleyball or some dance group.
