Meet the Sister
Why did you join KGD?
During my first quarter at UC Davis, I really was not connecting with as many people as I wish I could connect to. So I thought rushing for, and eventually joining, KGD would help me in a more social aspect with other pre-health girls. I also really liked the opportunistic characteristic that comes from the professional/academic side of it as well!
How has KGD changed your life?
KGD has taught me that you can't do it all without good supportive people by your side. It has taught me to trust more people and let them in when I am feeling stressed. I cannot imagine having gone through the time I have been here at Davis without my best friends that I have made in KGD. KGD really helped me open up as a person and learn to be professional when I need to be!
Favorite part of KGD?
The fact that I am never alone. As big as UC Davis is, I can always find a sister somewhere. Having that connection with them makes me feel less scared or stressed. I always have someone to talk to when I need to get things out, and those strong connections are the best part.
Extracurriculars and interests?
I am a research assistant at the UC Davis MIND Institute working on Autism studies and the Social Skills group. I also volunteer at the Knights Landing student-run clinic and tutor at a local elementary school! Other than that, when I am not studying, I love to go hiking and going out to eat with friends!
