Meet the Sister
Why did you join KGD?
I joined KGD at the end of my freshman year because I realized that despite having lived in Davis for several months, I hadn’t really found “my place” in Davis and I had done nothing of significance in the community that I called home. I wanted that to change, and I came to KGD looking for a community of support that I would call my own.
How has KGD changed your life?
When I was younger, I moved around a lot, and as a result, I struggled to make many meaningful connections with people. KGD helped me find a group of friends that I love spending time with and who inspire me to be the best version of myself every day.
Favorite part of KGD?
My favorite part of KGD is the support it offers. Beyond academic support, KGD offers emotional and social support that is so incredibly important at this point in our lives where we work hard to pursue our dreams.
Extracurriculars and interests?
In my free time, I enjoy taking naps, watching Netflix, and getting boba! I work as a peer advisor in the College of Engineering Dean's Office. I am also an undergraduate research assistant at a Neuroscience lab and a student volunteer at Shifa Clinic.
Fun fact about yourself:
I lived in Hong Kong for three years.
