"Since its inception, Kappa Gamma Delta has provided college students with a source of academic, social, and emotional support. Between our alumnae network, close ties with the community, and a diverse sisterhood, we are able to provide our members with everything they need to be successful in life. Kappa Gamma Delta offers its sisters an environment that stresses the balance between hard work and fun, and give it's members a chance to do both."

🌼FAQ🌼 Q: What is Pre-Health? Do I have to be a certain major to join? A: Pre-Health is a term used to describe the path to a future career in health. It ranges from pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary, pre-nursing, pre-physician's assistant, pre-physical therapy, pre-optometry, pre-public health... the list goes on and on! You don't have to be any specific major to join, as we are open to any and all majors.
Q: Are there any requirements? A: We require that you have a 3.0 cumulative GPA before setting up an interview with us. If you are a first-year, this can be your High School GPA. If you're a transfer, this can be your previous school's GPA.
Q: How often do you have rush/recruitment? A: We have Rush twice in a school year, once in Fall and the other in Spring. If now is not the right time for you for what ever reason, you are always still welcome to attend Rush in the meantime. We will never require you to join or sign up for an interview!
Q: I'm a transfer/second/fourth/fifth-year. Can I still join? A: Of course! We are open to have you join us at ANY point of your Undergraduate Career!
Q: What's Rush Week? A: Rush Week is a week where we aim for you to find out more about us, what we do, and who we are! Information night is meant for you to get to know Kappa Gamma Delta as an organization and find out what it means to be a Sister! We will also go over the process of becoming a sister of Kappa Gamma Delta. Pizza and Games is an exciting night of games with our Sisters, all while enjoying pizza (on us!). Alumnae Night is where some of our Alumnae will speak to us about their lives after undergrad and how the organization has had an impact them. Mocktail is a night of interactive mingling that will allow you to get to know each sister on a more individual basis! Lastly, Interviews will be held on Friday by appointment, which you can set up with our Pledge Mothers throughout the week's events or by email at [email protected].
Q: How much does Rush Week cost? A: Nothing! Refreshments and snacks will be provided at no expense to you.
Q: How much does it cost once I join? A: Our Financial Advisor would be happy to let you know more about this! You can contact her at [email protected].
Q: Are all Rush Events mandatory? Can I come late? A: Rush Events are *not* mandatory and you are *not* obligated to join if you do attend. However, they are recommended so that you are able to meet our Sisters and learn about KGD! All of our events start at 7pm and will run until about 9pm. We would still be glad to have you there even if you will be late!
Q: I need a ride to the event! Can you help me? A: Yes! You can email our Pledge Mothers at [email protected] and they will be happy to figure it out with you!
If you have any additional questions, let us know! We would be happy to help.
MORE ABOUT US: Since 1994, Kappa Gamma Delta has been an organization of ambitious women providing resources and support on our path to a career in healthcare. Though our sisters come from a range of backgrounds and interests, we all celebrate unity and diversity with a common goal for academic, professional, and social support. Not only can one expect personal development in these areas, but also many opportunities to volunteer and connect with the local communities in the Sacramento, Davis, and Woodland Area.
Our motto, “Service to Humanity,” is exactly what Kappa Gamma Delta strives for. Public events that we participate in include Turkey Trot, Relay for Life, campus blood drives, women shelters, and Davis Community Meals. Through serving the community, engaging in social activities, and participating in education alongside one another, our sisters share valuable experiences and strong bonds that will last a lifetime.
We pride ourselves in a strong supportive network with distinguished alumnae attending prestigious graduate schools at UCSF, UCLA, Western University of Health Sciences, Stanford, Oregon Health & Science University, Case Western, NYU and more.
